Alison Ponsford-Hill is a soloist, ensemble singer, conductor, and dedicated teacher. She has performed for nearly twenty years with esteemed ensembles such as The Monteverdi Choir, The Tallis Scholars, Polyphony and London Voices, to audiences worldwide in renowned concert halls. In recent years Alison has enjoyed chorus mastering for the Monteverdi Choir and London Voices for film sessions, as well as running her own ensembles in High Wycombe.
Alison's musical journey started as a girl-chorister at Salisbury Cathedral under Dr Richard Seal before studying at Trinity College, Cambridge and King’s College, London. She is a respected teacher, having taught at prestigious schools like Westminster Under School and Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School. Currently, she teaches at Eton College and University College, Oxford.
